On behalf of our Oil and Gas operator client, NES Fircroft are looking for an experience CSU Lead to join and exciting oil and gas project.

Position description - Accountabilities
The CSU Lead accountabilities during the Execute phase include, but are not limited to: 
  • Support the company CSU Manager in the delivery of overall Commissioning scope for the project, acting as CSU Manager’s eyes and ears for day-to-day delivery.
  • Influence the EPCI contractor to build the desired HSSE culture in both the owner and contractor teams to achieve Goal Zero.  
  • Support the development and management of the HSSE in Transition plan by EPCI.
  • Lead the CSU Emergency Response (ER) preparedness & readiness leading to the offshore campaign.
  • Lead CSU System Engineers to provide assurance across all CSU elements of the project, including systemisation, Inspection and Test Record (ITR) creation/allocation, WFS and schedule, and development of the commissioning and start-up procedures, and field execution.
  • Ensure compliance with and timely preparation for applicable permitting, SIMOPs management and regulatory requirements for offshore.
  • With Completions Lead, agree with EPCI metrics/KPIs for CSU scope to ensure contractor performance is managed and project requirements are met. 
  • Ensure that safety critical elements are identified, and performance standards captured in commissioning checksheets.
  • Oversee the delivery of Commissioning and Test Procedures ensuring sufficient discipline review and quality, timely output.
  • Provide company oversight/resources to the execution of CSU field activities. 
  • Maintain an oversight on the delivery of the Prelude Brownfield CSU field activities.
  • Support the development of the Start-Up and Ramp-Up (SURU) plans and procedures (Start-Up Operational Playbook) including identification of risks, development of what-if scenarios and optimisation of GHG emissions.
  • Contribute to the development of the Project to Asset Transfer Plan and support the handover of the facilities to the future Asset owner.
  • Capture project lessons learnt for the benefit of future projects. 

Position description - Dimension
Reporting to the CSU Manager, post FID the CSU Lead will be responsible for ensuring the Commissioning of the facilities by the EPCI contractor to enable the safe and efficient start-up of the facility.  
The role will involve the line management of the CSU Engineers to ensure the safe and quality delivery of CSU scope. 
The position requires a high level of flexibility with multiple relocations and a rotational work roster in the offshore commissioning and start-up phase. 

Experiences and qualifications required
  • Proven oil and gas experience commissioning complex plant and equipment, preferably across all phases of design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, start-up and operations.
  • Experience in managing delivery in a diverse environment is beneficial given the international nature of the project and stakeholder engagement requirements (internal and external).
  • Engineering Degree with 10+ years of project or operational leadership experience in the hydrocarbon processing industry (preferably offshore).
  • The position will require strong integrative leadership and communication skills, collaboration skills working with the multiple contractors (and sub-contractors) and practical experience in managing HSSE in a dynamic environment.
