We are currently recruiting a E&I Construction Engineer (site based) for a Global Oil & Gas EPC in Kwinana, WA on a contract until the end of 2026.

Position Purpose:
  • Produce safe, high quality cost-effective, timely and environmentally appropriate construction engineering solutions
  • Provide engineering supervision and technical assistance at manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders to maximize constructability of deliverables
  • Provide the interface between site and engineering centers for management of change purposes
  • Prepare documentation for bid, assessment and award of site-based E&I subcontracts.
  • Ensure that industry standards and Group rules with respect to allocated construction engineering scopes of work are adhered to
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with relevant engineering disciplines during the course of engineering, fabrication and execution
  • Review engineering deliverables to ensure constructability is defined.
  • Manage standard and non-standard construction engineering performed by Engineering Consultants / Suppliers to meet project, statutory and Group rules to project schedule
  • Preparation of execution plans and input to project delivery plans
  • Preparation of project estimates as required to support projects.
  • Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to E&I Engineering and Construction.
  • As required by projects, manage procurement of either permanent or temporary material / equipment associated with E&I construction engineering
  • Manage engineering scope for brownfield upgrades and ensure that designed modifications comply with local and international standards and industry regulations
  • Input to the procurement, subcontract, and fabrication plans
  • Prepare Fabrication Cards for all fabrication scopes based on discipline design deliverables
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates from sub-contractors
  • Preparation and review of implementation work packs – identify scope and issues
  • Follow up on quality and delivery of E&I items/ & vendor packages
  • Prepares progress reports to the project management, internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects
  • Understanding of completions processes and site execution processes
  • Identify, define site based changes to design deliverables, and support he MOC process as delegated by the Site Manager
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Degree in either instrument & Controls, electrical, or relevant trade qualification
  • Onshore process plant construction experience (O&G or chemical processing )
  • Strong stakeholder engagement ability (client, subcontractors, vendors etc)
  • Strong brownfields experience
  • Strong subcontractor management experience – we will be working on behalf of the client as their representative and managing the subcontractors on site to execute the works
  • Strong construction background
Additional:
  • Site based role located in Kwinana
  • 10 hour days (excluding breaks) from Mon – Friday (50 hours per week)
  • Commencing attendance of prestart meeting 7am.
