POSITION SUMMARY
The HVAC Technician is an integral member of the EnerStar team. The HVAC Technician is responsible for providing installation, preventative care and repairs for HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician repairs and maintains refrigerator and electrical systems and their components.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

o Work with team members in Operations
• Install new heating, cooling and ventilation systems
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness & safety
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
o Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues
• Repair damaged HVAC systems
• Respond to all service calls
• Schedule and conduct all repairs and maintenance of all HVAC equipment on all inventory items
• Support EnerStar team members with guidance on the phone or in person on resolution
to issues they may have regarding HVAC equipment
• Apply local HVAC codes & regulations in a practical manner on each job
• Layout, design and install low-voltage wiring
• Maintain assigned company vehicle
o Truck logs and vehicle inspection reports
o Preventative maintenance to assigned vehicle and equipment
• Compliance with all Company & regulatory health, safety & environmental
requirements: job safety analysis, pre/post trip inspections, near miss, hazard
reports
• Maintain Freon dispensing records to meet federal requirements
• Additional responsibilities: as identified and assigned
Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by EnerStar.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education

• State HVAC Technician license
• HVAC Certification
Experience
• Prefer 3+ years of experience in a comparable industry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
• Proficiency in using computer software programs for inventory tracking and reporting
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance among team members
• Experience in yard or logistics setting preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
