NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for multiple HYDROGEOLOGISTS to join their site based team on an ongoing contract

The Role:
  • 8:6 roster FIFO Perth (12 hours days)
  • 8 month contract with potential extension

Reporting to the Senior Hydrogeologist you will support the team as they undertake hydrogeological assessments and successfully manage and contribute to projects with a hydrogeological focus. This includes involvement in the execution, monitoring and optimising of dewatering and injection systems. 

Duties Include:
  • Supervision of drilling and pump testing programs.
  • Undertake hydrogeological assessments including the interpretation of data, site investigation planning and coordination, conceptualisation, and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, contract documentation and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants concerning field investigations, design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
  • Provide technical input into groundwater investigations, management, and impact assessments. 
  • Developing groundwater models 

The Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Geosciences, Engineering, or a closely related field that includes training in partial differential calculus and numerical methods
  • MSc in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering or a similar field with an emphasis in groundwater hydrology and/or numerical modelling
  • Groundwater exploration and/or mine dewatering in regional areas, resource evaluations and water resource development in Western Australia.
  • Drilling supervision and management.
  • Geological and hydrogeological logging and mapping.
  • Presentation of hydrogeological information for engineering purposes.
