Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and analyzing samples using a variety of advanced laboratory equipment and techniques. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and log samples from internal customers.
  • Perform data entry and utilize LIMS systems to track sample progress.
  • Conduct routine chemical and physical analyses under general supervision.
  • Independently perform mechanical and wet chemical tests on production fluids and solids, including sample preparation.
  • Assist technical support personnel in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Operate laboratory instruments including ICP, IC, XRD, XRF, and handheld lab meters.

Working Conditions & Safety:
  • Work is performed in a laboratory setting.
  • Exposure to chemicals and x-rays; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
  • No travel, vehicle use, or customer site visits required.

Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology, or 1–2 years of lab experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of advanced laboratory equipment and LIMS systems.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with hazardous waste disposal.
  • Ability to lift satellite waste (~30 lbs).
  • Dependable and punctual with a solid understanding of laboratory testing techniques and safety guidelines.

Technical & Soft Skills:
  • Sample preparation and filtering (not analysis).
  • Proficiency in PC-based software, including spreadsheets and report generation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
