We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and analyzing samples using a variety of advanced laboratory equipment and techniques. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and analyzing samples using a variety of advanced laboratory equipment and techniques. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and log samples from internal customers.
- Perform data entry and utilize LIMS systems to track sample progress.
- Conduct routine chemical and physical analyses under general supervision.
- Independently perform mechanical and wet chemical tests on production fluids and solids, including sample preparation.
- Assist technical support personnel in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Operate laboratory instruments including ICP, IC, XRD, XRF, and handheld lab meters.
Working Conditions & Safety:
- Work is performed in a laboratory setting.
- Exposure to chemicals and x-rays; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
- No travel, vehicle use, or customer site visits required.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology, or 1–2 years of lab experience without a degree.
- Knowledge of advanced laboratory equipment and LIMS systems.
- Ability to perform detail-oriented
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with hazardous waste disposal.
- Ability to lift satellite waste (~30 lbs).
- Dependable and punctual with a solid understanding of laboratory testing techniques and safety guidelines.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Sample preparation and filtering (not analysis).
- Proficiency in PC-based software, including spreadsheets and report generation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
