Your responsibilities
  • Lead and manage instrumentation engineering activities for projects in industries such as petrochemical, refining, and cryogenic technologies.
  • Supervise internal and external instrumentation engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Review and interpret technical annexes of contracts to ensure compliance and feasibility.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and quality control of instrumentation deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular updates to project management and contribute to continuous improvement in project execution.
  • Define project-specific design criteria based on applicable standards and contract specifications.
  • Guide the development of instrumentation design documentation, including instrument lists, data sheets (for instruments, valves, and analyzers), hook-up drawings, material take-offs, layout plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, clients, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems.
  • Validate project documentation for completeness and compliance with internal standards, local regulations, and client requirements.
  • Participate in inspections and testing of instrumentation components such as valves and analyzers.
Employer requirements
  • Master’s degree in Automation or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Instrumentation Engineer in a plant engineering environment.
  • Ability to independently manage instrumentation tasks and proposal development.
  • Fluent in English; Polish language skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, Smart Plant Instrumentation, and Smart Plant 3D.
  • Comfortable working in diverse, multi-project teams and open to short-term travel to engineering offices or construction sites.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
