Roles & Responsibilities The Measurement / Analyzer Specialist ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of analyzer systems by promoting SHE standards, supporting maintenance and engineering teams, and driving continuous improvement in reliability and performance.

Safety, Reliability & Technical Support
  • Actively promotes SHE standards and serves as a role model for safety compliance.
  • Supports mechanical reliability through failure analysis, troubleshooting, and quality control.
  • Provides technical assistance for analyzer repairs, upgrades, and field troubleshooting.
  • Collaborates with technicians and engineers to ensure effective repair scopes and execution.
  • Offers guidance during break-in events and startup coverage for general-purpose analyzers (not as first-call support).
Maintenance & Spare Parts Management
  • Manages spare parts inventory, including BOM oversight for major jobs and overhauls.
  • Interfaces with the storehouse to resolve part issues and improve inventory performance.
  • Conducts annual verification of critical spare parts and leads dead/dormant equipment reviews.
  • Supports planner with parts lists and job pack inputs.
Project & Turnaround (T/A) Support
  • Gathers site data to support engineering scopes and project planning.
  • Provides technical expertise for maintenance-related projects, FATs, SATs, and loop checks.
  • Contributes to T/A planning and execution, including input on activities and inspections.
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
  • Leads and documents Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures.
  • Reviews RCFA outcomes with engineering and frontline supervisors, ensuring follow-through on recommendations.
  • Supports updates to PM strategies, bad actor analysis, and annual reliability planning.
  • Participates in reliability initiatives such as RCMs, RBWSs, and engineering studies.
Training, Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
  • Mentors analyzer technicians, providing day-to-day guidance and performance feedback.
  • Identifies training needs and collaborates with Craft organization to develop training plans.
  • Leads technical training sessions and lunch-and-learns for technicians.
  • Supports technician development and fosters functional excellence.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Acts as the primary interface between maintenance and engineering for analyzer-related expertise.
  • Initiates and progresses Management of Change (MOC) for simple analyzer replacements.
  • Supports rollout of new technologies and implementation of network learnings.
  • Contributes to long-range improvement plans based on site history and experience.
