NES Fircroft are looking for a Mechanical & Piping Superintendent to oversee the construction of a large-scale electrolyser facility for renewable hydrogen production.
 
Location :  Construction site, Saint-Jean-de-Folleville, France.
Trips to Paris once every 3 months
Duration : 12 months 
   
General Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide construction subcontractors, with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Manage interfaces between disciplines and subcontractors on site
  • Demonstrate interdisciplinary thinking, autonomy, and integrity
  • Exhibit technical expertise and leadership
  • Coordinate with other site supervisors
Site Supervision
  • Monitor subcontractor performance for compliance with engineering and construction documentation and timelines
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned personnel, including supplier representatives
  • Organize regular meetings with subcontractors, set deadlines, determine actions, and document outcomes
  Quality Control
  • Collaborate with assembly companies to issue and validate inspection plans before construction
  • Work with the QA/QC manager to issue and validate all required quality documentation
  • Ensure construction and installation quality meets contract requirements
  • Ensure compliance of pressure vessel, skid, water tower, and piping installations with project specifications
  • Resolve technical issues and provide missing documentation or materials
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities
  • Report and follow up on quality defects
  • Issue inspection reports in line with the Inspection Test Plan (ITP)
  • Review subcontractor documentation and verify as-built records
Skills Required
  • Strong technical background
  • 10 years of experience as a piping supervisor in industrial equipment and piping installation.
  • Specific experience with oxygen and hydrogen service piping is mandatory.
