Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority. · Act as a technical leader within the field network team providing forward thinking designs, mentorship for junior staff, and participate in forming strategic direction for field network.
· Responsible for the architecture and overall operations of secure, performant, reliable, and efficient end-to-end network services for ICS, Automation, Drilling, and any other critical business unit network services.
· Deeply engage with business units to ensure deadlines and objectives are well understood and met.
· Responsible to ensure the successful implementation of field network projects and the lifecycle including initiating, planning, budgeting, executing, procurement, documentation, closing, and continuous improvement.
· Set and achieve goals necessary for the optimization of field network focusing on people, processes and technology.
· Utilize IT Service Management tools to manage and resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents and request items. Working continuously on a task until completion or escalating to the next level support.
Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
· Schedule formal change requests to field network systems for firmware updates, security changes, and other configuration changes.
· Documentation and knowledge transfer, such as maintaining and providing solution documentation to other team members, IT and business areas, detailing hardware installations, logically storing project files, and cross training.
· Provide solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies including connectivity issues · Collaborate with IT, managers, and other stakeholders to develop an action plan for improved operations · Prepare written and verbal presentations and reports. Provide management with timely and accurate status reports.
· Keep customer base informed of changes and issues within the field network environment.
· 24/7 availability while on-call, including use of a cell phone off hours support and weekend on-call status.
· Model a strong work ethic and take the lead on a variety of initiatives. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements.
