Job Title: Wind Farm Operations & Maintenance Manager
Location: Medicine Hat, AB
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hrs / week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 1 year with potential extensions or conversion to permanent position for the right candidates

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a fully operational Wind Farm, which has been in service for approximately three years. This role requires a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a proven track record in wind energy operations and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the operations and maintenance activities of the wind farm to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Oversee a team of technicians, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Perform and supervise routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
• Assist in high voltage (HV) switching operations and ensure all HV activities are carried out safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics and generate reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in wind farm operations and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background; hands-on experience with wind turbine systems preferred.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience is highly desirable.
• High Voltage (HV) switching or selection experience is a strong plus.
• GWO (Global Wind Organization) certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
