Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Projects (6–12 Month Contract)

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and support the execution of strategic initiatives across the Minerals Australia Projects portfolio.
  • Identify and lead strategic sourcing opportunities aligned with FY26 priorities.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to uncover and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of a portfolio-wide sourcing plan that complements the broader Procurement strategy.
  • Establish sustainable methods for capturing project and package data to identify aggregated sourcing opportunities.
  • Develop commercial strategies and manage complex sourcing activities, leveraging deep market insights.
  • Build trusted, cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Champion continuous improvement to enhance project, operational, and commercial outcomes.
About You
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commercial roles within complex project environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced settings with evolving priorities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in the grey—where processes are not yet defined.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for driving innovation and improvement.
