Production CCR Supervisor
Supervise and manage all Panel Operator activities within the Central Control Room of the LNG Plant, ensuring alignment of field and control room activities, initiate and carry out steps to improve plant optimization, in order to ensure continuous, safe and efficient operations to achieve LNG production targets.
HSE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Adhere to HSE and Company policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
- Promote continuously safety culture.
- Work safely, avoid any incident and dangerous situation, contribute towards continual HSE improvement, demonstrate safety behaviour for himself and others.
- Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired trainings and apply them on site, ensure team and vendor compliance.
- Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
During Engineering phase:
- Review engineering documents and make sure they are coherent and in line with Company expectations.
- Develop and write production procedures.
- Participate in the definition of start-up sequence, taking into account the reduction of flare emissions.
- Participate in all Hazop and engineering reviews, DCS FATs, reduction of alarms…
- Develop and implement production processes (PTW, inhibitions, downgraded situations, safety tours, logs, Simops…).
- Develop the list of production tools.
- Implement digital solutions (digital twin, PI…).
- Recruit and train production staff, especially Mozambicans.
During Operation phase:
- Ensure safety of personnel, environment protection, and the technical integrity of equipment’s in his domain of activities, implement HSE rules and follow procedures.
- Ensure good housekeeping of CCR, offices, kitchen, maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensure equipment’s are appropriately stored.
- Occasionally participate in the near misses analyses, HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessment, safety audits, RCA, incidents and accidents analyses.
- Formally record all downgraded situations.
- Perform the role defined by the Company Work Permit System, and SIMOPS management plans.
- Verify that panel operators are well aware of the plant status and on-going site activities through strict PTW follow-up, ensuring that communication is well established at PTW opening/closing between panel operators and field operators, so that field and control room activities are in line and plant operations are carried out efficiently.
- Perform the role defined by the Company Emergency Response Plan.
- Monitor and control plant production parameters to ensure smooth operations of the plant and successful achievement of the production targets.
- Monitor the set points of controllers, correct according to the recommended values and update any deviations in report and submit to Day and Shift Superintendents.
- Perform risk assessment for all inhibitions that are required to be put in place.
- Manage and record all the inhibitions of plant safety devices and ensure proper follow up to safely return them to normal active conditions.
- Guide and provide the required assistance to panel operators during critical phases such as start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting and during emergencies, to ensure effective and efficient handling and resolution.
- Provide full coverage for Trains, Utility/S&L and Subsea panel operators during their absence.
- Contribute significantly to the optimization of plant production in order to improve cost-efficiency through utilization of minimum resources.
- Ensure the HSE dossier is regularly audited and updated, and valve stroke tests for SDV/ESDV/BDV (planned tests/opportunity) are recorded, in conjunction with process and utilities teams, in order to ensure compliance of plant activities with the safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in troubleshooting of plant upsets and trips, including analysis of root causes through alarm and event logs review, functional analysis review, SLD (Safety Logic Diagram) review, to facilitate smooth functioning of the production facilities.
- Participate in all alarm reduction working group to reduce the number of alarms and facilitate the work of Panel Operators.
- Log main events and perform handover at the end of each shift.
- Lead and develop the Production central control room team, ensuring exposure to all aspects of control room operations, in order to ensure optimal team performance and commitment.
- Train/mentor future panel operators in the use of DCS and the architecture of ICSS.
- Undertake training and development, assess team’s progress and continuously look for opportunities for personal as well as team improvement and skills development/broadening.
- Discuss with and set up objectives on an annual basis for subordinates and review on a regular basis.
- Perform end of year appraisals.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent knowledge of DCS panel operations.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety Shut down systems- ESD, ESD1, ESD2, EDP1, EDP2 and safety bar.
- Excellent knowledge of oil & gas / LNG production processes and methods.
- Excellent knowledge of natural gas treatment, LNG production activities, Storage & Loading and Utilities operations.
- Excellent ability to troubleshoot process problems and upsets.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE and Environment Management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of PTW system in Oil & Gas Industry.
- High knowledge of Emergency Response systems and experience in handling plant emergencies.
- Good knowledge of computer windows office applications.
- High command of written and spoken English.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of higher education in Applied Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years specific production experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
- Minimum 10 years in Senior Production Positions
- Minimum 7 years in LNG production plants and Panel Operator, not LNG terminals
- High leadership
