Project Manager - Solar

Based in Seoul, South Korea

Purpose
The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities, in support to:

Project Development
•Support the sales team in business development.
•Estimate project costs and identify project obstacles and challenges.
•Conduct site visits to assess technical constraints and evaluate project feasibility and potential risks.
•Conduct meetings with clients and contractors to clarify and discuss technical matters.
•Liaise with engineering resources to optimize the commercial offers in terms of PV system performance, technical solution costs, robustness and quality.
•Select and on-board suppliers including EPCs and engineering consultants, in full respect of HSE, Quality and compliance guidelines and specifications. Support commercial negotiations and maintain relationships with installers and suppliers.

Project and Contractor Management
•Coordinate between sales, engineering and client to prepare the project for execution.
•Prepare tender, evaluate proposals, present to team management for selection, handle contractual negotiations and completion with contractors.
•Review method statement of execution from contractors and check compliance with Company rules and standards.
•Prepare and follow-up local approvals and regulatory obligations.
•Review all submitted documents from contractors as per Master Document List.
•Site inspection, safety on site and quality assessment, budget control and schedule control.
•Review on compliance of contractors on HSE and Company values and rules.
•Handle handover to operation team and client satisfaction.

The position will be based in Seoul, South Korea and the scope of activities will extend to other areas of South Korea as necessary. Traveling that could be up to 50% of time might be required.

Requirements
•Min. 6 years of project management experience on with at least 2 years of experience with rooftop solar projects.
•University degree in engineering required.  Graduate degree and/or related professional qualifications considered a plus.
•Experience with maintaining minimum functional specification, commissioning checklists, and standard operating practices for rooftop solar projects.
•Working experience with Taiwan electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes desired.
