Our client is actively seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to join their team out of their site in Milledgeville, GA! This individual will be responsible for leading all pre-construction activities, oversee day to day construction operations, collaborate with other onsite individuals to maintain proper budget and scheduling constraints, and monitor associated documentation. This individual will have a strong background in onsite field work and project management, specifically within large civil/earthwork related projects. This is a long term, contract opportunity with a growing construction firm specialized within the fly ash space!

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Pre-Construction
- Lead pre-construction activities including scope development, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and preparation of bid packages.
- Coordinate with engineering and estimating teams to review drawings and resolve discrepancies or constructability concerns.
- Project Execution & Management
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
- Manage and monitor project budgets and costs, maintaining financial oversight through cost tracking, margin reporting, and job costing systems.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services, and verify subcontractor and supplier invoicing for accuracy and contractual compliance.
- Lead change management efforts, identifying scope changes and facilitating contract modifications.
- Scheduling & Coordination
- Collaborate with Superintendents and field staff to develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and proactively address delays or issues.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities, ensuring all completed work is up to standard.
- Documentation & Communication
- Maintain organized documentation, including submittals, RFIs, ASIs, meeting minutes, jobsite photographs, and project reports.
- Serve as the primary contact for owners, subcontractors, engineers, and architects, ensuring consistent and professional communication.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and logs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leadership & Team Support
- Support field staff through accurate reporting, resource allocation, and project logistics.
- Mentor project engineers or junior staff where applicable.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain all project-related safety records.
- Project Close-Out
- Facilitate project close-out activities including punch lists, final inspections, turnover documentation, and final reporting. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required
- Minimum 8+ years of field experience in industrial construction, preferably in earthworks, landfills, or related civil sectors
- Proven ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction cost control and budgeting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in construction management software and general computer systems
- Professional Registration (PE) encouraged but not required
