Our client a Global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth is seeking a Rotating Equipment Inspector.
Responsible for the development of maintenance, inspection and repair strategies for onshore rotating equipment portfolio. Identify and produce deliverables required to assure these activities are executed to a high standard of quality. Provide inspection services to the Operation’s engineering, maintenance and shutdown team for rotating equipment. Act as the execution focal point for all RE equipment and auxiliaries inspection and repair activities.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide day-to-day and long term RE inspection support to onshore.
  • Ensure RE inspection activities are appropriately resourced within the work management system planning cycle. Participate in the advanced planning of rotating equipment maintenance activities and ensure the required scope of works are delivered to ensure the continued safe and efficient operations of these assets.
  • Participate in all RE equipment scheduled overhauls in line with the asset shutdown philosophy
  • Ensure the reliability of RE portfolio will meet annual delivery plan
  • commitments by ensuring:
  • The right preventive maintenance tasks are being completed
  • The quality of work being executed by internal and external parties is done consistently to the required standard
  • Inspection data is being collected, recorded and analyzed
  • The management of change process is followed
  • Completeness of all WMS history to ensure correct quality capture
  • Participation in the investigation of failures and trips of RE portfolio - improvements to plant and processes are identified and implemented
  • Ensure the plant technical integrity is protected by participating in the inspection of rotating equipment in line with the commitments made as part of the safety case performance standards and design assumptions.
  • Manage own performance and development:
  • Identify individual training opportunities for personal development plan which may be of benefit
  • Timely execution of agreed training and development plans
  • Proactive in participation of the PMP process for timely development and deliverable content
  • Achieve goals set and in line with the expectations of the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer.
  • Deliver measurable results of goals and targets set within PMP framework
  • Extensive experience working on large rotating equipment and supporting systems including GE Frame Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbines, Compressor seal systems, Diesel Engines, Fire Pumps and Condition and Performing Monitoring Systems.
  • Have an expert understanding of inspection activities and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMMS systems and integrity assurance
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Degree qualified. Non degreed personnel will be considered where experience is significant and competency within the field can be demonstrated at depth
  • Min 7 years experience in rotating equipment and auxiliary systems within the hydrocarbon offshore and onshore environment.
  • Extensive experience working on large rotating equipment and supporting systems including GE Frame Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbines, Compressor seal systems, Diesel Engines, Fire Pumps and Condition and Performing Monitoring Systems.
  • Have expert understanding of workshop processes, inspection activities and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMMS systems and integrity assurance, SAP, Microsoft Packages.
  • Turbo Machinery Monitoring Systems (GE System 1).
  • Condition Monitoring Systems.
