Job Summary:
Accountable for the planning function on allocated project. Accountable for ensuring that projects are effectively planned, scheduled and monitored. Supports Project Management function in delivery of the project, as required. Ensuring they are delivered on time and profitably. Responsible for the planning of medium to high complexity projects, a portfolio projects or sections of larger projects.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
β’ Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools.
β’ Develop the WBS and alignment of other Breakdown structures.
β’ Develop the WBS dictionary in support of the Baseline book.
β’ Ability to advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
β’ Ability to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analyzing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
β’ Leads and manages a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and responsible for staff development.
β’ Production and control of cost and resource loaded baseline and current schedule, utilizing approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
β’ Adherence to scheduling and project control standards across the project.
β’ Overseeing and ensuring schedules are updated to an agreed timeframe.
β’ Support cost control, risk and change management teams where appropriate.
β’ Support the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
β’ Producing analysis of trends, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
β’ Analysis and integration of schedules provided by contractors and suppliers.
β’ Establish and foster working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders pursuant to the discharging of your responsibilities or in aid of theirs
β’ Liaise with other departments and foster and practice client team values.
β’ Responsible for supporting schedule management and reporting for the program β including cost and earned value reporting and management.
β’ Provide ad hoc support to the wider Project Controls function to develop the capability of the team using knowledge from wider experience.
β’ Adherence to the current monthly Project Controls cycle and processes and support with any future development.
β’ Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies
Technical Expertise:
β’ Highly developed primavera P6 skills
β’ 25+ years of experience in Planning & Schedule Management
β’ Must have experience working in large water related construction projects/programs.
β’ Proven facilitation/presenting skills.
β’ Good communication skills
