Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, are currently hiring for a Senior Production Engineer in Aberdeen.
Key responsibilities, tasks and activities
• Perform well and network hydraulics.
• Perform DPO – Detailed production optimization, including allocation and production prognosis.
• Perform safe injection evaluations, including basic understanding for well barriers.
• Perform well productivity and inflow control analysis.
• Perform planning of wells, completion design and interventions, including operational follow-up.
• Perform sand management monitoring.
• Perform production specialized services, e.g. well test analysis, well chemistry, cased hole logging, rock mechanics evaluation.
• Perform production technical deliveries to field development and modification projects.
• Ability to analyse and integrate production data across the value chain, evaluate and communicate risk and uncertainties.
• Contribute in multidisciplinary teams to integrate production data with other subsurface data for mapping, target identification, reservoir characterization and well planning.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineer and provide production related input for history matching, allocation uncertainty and reservoir drainage issues.
• Have business understanding and commercial mindset guiding technical decision-making.
• Contribute to digitalization, technology development and improvement initiatives.
• Flexible according to business needs.
• Have a good understanding of risk
• This position is in scope for transfer for the upcoming JV.
Critical Skills and Behaviours
• Have minimum 7 years technical experience with proven deliveries and broad technological background within production/petroleum engineering
• Hands on experience with commercial production engineering tools such as IPM suite (Prosper/GAP/Reveal), NETool, Kappa
• Experience from production and injection management
• Experience from project development as well as operations
• Experience within following topics is an advantage:
o Subsea production systems
o Flow assurance
o Production log planning and analysis
o Rock Mechanics
o Well completions and stimulation
o Reservoir engineering
o Artificial Lift – ESP, Gas Lift
o Data Analytics and scripting/programming
