Senior Subsea Engineer

Contract period: 20.10.2025 - 31.12.2026
Location: Lysaker, Kongsberg, Ågotnes, Dunfirmline
Main tasks:
- Maintain familiarity with SPS XT type vendors, equipment, processes, and facilities.
- Familiar with the 2017+ standard. Familiar with FMC/TFMC as a supplier.
- Participate in and follow up on surveillance and audits for contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors according to the XT discipline Surveillance Plan, ITP, and other relevant guidelines, to verify contractor performance and compliance with the EPC contract requirements, in coordination with the Quality Lead.
- Review contractor and vendor ITPs for fabrication and manufacturing stages.
- Understand contractor project procedures and processes to confirm alignment with the SPS contract scope of work.
- Coordinate and submit weekly reports to Project QA and SPS-XT Leads in Oslo.
- Organise weekly quality meetings with the Contractor Project Quality Representative.
- Attend weekly Company/Contractor L2L meetings.
- Verify that contractors conduct QC inspections at sub-contractors and vendors in accordance with contract requirements.
- Review contractor QC inspection reports and take necessary actions as appropriate.
- Monitor and verify inspections, tests, FATs, and communication tests to establish confidence in procured equipment and materials.
- Issue inspection checklists, record forms, and factory acceptance forms where required.
- Review technical documentation relevant to the x-mas tree system discipline, when applicable.
- Participate in design and procedure reviews as needed.
- Perform additional tasks related to the X-mas Tree discipline as directed by the SPS-XT Lead.
- Domestic and International travelling may be required.
Qualifications:
- Higher education - University or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the offshore industry, including minimum 3 years Oil & Gas experience.
- Subsea projects experience is preferred.
