Software Delivery Manager

Location: Oslo

Main tasks:
  • Assists with design, research, and development of new applications and major enhancements.
  • Provides guidance to developers, testers, and support staff.
  • Challenges technical software delivery processes to deliver fit-for-purpose software in a more timely manner.
  • Leads software development projects and may provide Technical Excellence Leadership for multiple teams.
  • Provides expert guidance to software developers and support staff.
  • Advises on application security standards, secure coding practices, and secure architecture designs.
  • Plays a strong technical role in product planning for complete software systems.
  • Owns and manages the end-to-end software delivery process across multiple teams.
  • Coordinates release planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure successful and timely delivery.
  • Collaborates with product managers, tech leads, and engineers to align on scope, priorities, and timelines.
  • Monitors delivery progress, identifies risks and blockers, and drives resolution.
  • Champions best practices and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with quality, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicates delivery status and outcomes clearly to stakeholders at all levels.


Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience including software development.
  • 10 years of experience in software delivery, release management, or technical project/program management.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in distributed/remote environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native environments.
  • Solid grasp of quality assurance and compliance processes.
  • Background in software engineering or technical leadership.
  • Knowledge of three or scientific computing domain.
  • Experience with ESOC/SOC2 compliance audits.
