We are actively seeking experienced professionals for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Pipeline) role with specialized expertise in Umbilical & Power Cable systems. This is a high-priority position requiring deep technical knowledge and leadership in offshore engineering.
Urgent Requirement: Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Umbilical & Power Cable)
Location: Offshore Projects
Immediate Consideration
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Chartered/Professional Engineer status preferred
15+ years of post-graduate experience, with 10+ years in Oil & Gas
Strong command of ISO 13628, DNV codes, and offshore pipeline standards
Proficiency in engineering software: AUTOPIPE, CAESAR II, Orcaflex, ABAQUS, SAGE
Expertise in subsea umbilical systems and associated control systems
Core Responsibilities:
Lead engineering, design, fabrication, and installation of offshore cables/umbilicals
Review and approve technical documents across all project phases
Conduct route optimization, stability, free span, and installation analyses
Develop and manage multi-disciplinary scopes for FEED and detailed design
Ensure compliance with technical standards and HSE policies
Provide offshore/onshore support during construction, commissioning, and startup
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across teams
Preferred Experience:
Lateral buckling, riser/spool-piece design, ECAs, and installation analysis
Offshore surveys, feasibility studies, and commissioning planning
Interface management across contractors and internal stakeholders
Technical bid evaluation and vendor document review
