SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials. 

We are now looking for someone who can lead and coordinate feasibility studies, pre-FEEDs, and related activities for offshore carbon capture.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure technical quality and integrity of all deliverables from internal teams and external partners
  • Develop and follow up on study plans, project scope, budget, schedule, and progress
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities, and propose mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Support Commercial Managers during ITT/tendering processes and other commercial development activities
  • Provide technical input and continuity from feasibility study and pre-FEED phase into FEEDs and execution projects
  • Monitor offshore carbon capture market developments
  • Support the CCO in developing and implementing SLB Capturi’s offshore carbon capture strategy

Knowledge/skills required:
  • Proven experience in managing feasibility studies and pre-FEEDs for FPSOs or other complex offshore topside projects
  • Strong knowledge of power generation systems, particularly gas turbines and their integration in offshore environments
  • Solid foundation in thermodynamics, with the ability to apply principles to energy systems and process optimization
  • Deep technical understanding of offshore topside processes and FPSO system architecture
  • Good understanding of carbon capture, utilisation, and storage technologies
  • Ability to see the big picture and navigate complexity in multidisciplinary project encironments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience from FEED and execution phases is beneficial
  • Familiarity with NORSOK standards and their application in offshore project development
  • Fluent written and verbal Norwegian and English

Experience required:
  • 5-10 years from oil and gas sector
  • MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar

  • Proactive and solution-oriented
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Goal-oriented, independent and confortable working with complexity and uncertainty
