About the Role
We’re currently partnering with a tier-1 mining operator who are looking for a strategic and experienced AI Product Owner to lead the development of simulation and decision-support tools that will help transform mining operations as part of their journey toward net zero emissions by 2030.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of mining through AI-driven automation and smarter work flows.

You’ll be at the forefront of a new decarbonisation initiative, managing the delivery of AI-powered tools such as haul truck simulation and dispatch optimisation systems. These tools will support decision-making around equipment types, battery configurations, and operational strategies—helping the teams make smarter, more sustainable choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision and roadmap for AI tools supporting decarbonisation and operational efficiency
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with mining engineers and operations teams to understand their needs and drive adoption of AI solutions
  • Simulation & Dispatch Tools Ownership: Manage the development and iteration of simulation and dispatch tools, ensuring they deliver real value to mining operations
  • Product Delivery: Translate business needs into actionable product requirements, user stories, and sprint plans
Requirements
  • Experience in AI product development or technical mining disciplines (e.g., fleet management, blending, supply chain), with a strong track record of delivering impactful solutions
  • Deep understanding of mining operations—experience with tools like Minestar FMS or RPMGlobal products is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and operational teams
  • Proven experience in agile product delivery, including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement
  • Familiarity with AI applications in heavy industry, especially those that improve productivity, automation, and sustainability
