Role Synopsis:
Our company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with at least 5 years of experience in audit, preferably in the oil and gas industry. The candidate must be fluent in English language writing and speaking to communicate with management and stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conducting audits of internal controls, and operational processes for departments
- Identifying risks and recommending improvements to mitigate those risks.
- Support in preparing audit reports for management review as required.
- Communicating findings to stakeholders and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support in handling audit queries, observations, and reports on operations and annual cost expenses.
- Maintain appropriate relationship with different process owners across different functions to meet the needs of the business and respond to Audit queries timely and manage their questions and expectations.
- Prepare responses and justifications for all audit queries and observations received in alignment with the Internal Control Team Lead and Internal Control Manager.
- Timely liaise responses and clarifications with Management (Internal Control Team Lead and Internal Control Manager).
- Timely address, discuss and close out all raised audit observations.
Essential Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from reputable university in Iraq with Business Administration or Accounting background.
- Professional certificate or Diploma in Accounting is preferable.
Essential experience and job requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in audit, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Fluent in English language writing and speaking
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience of working in multi-cultural and challenging environments.
- Experience in coordinating with different departments on similar job
