Job Title: Architectural Lead – Offshore Structures

Industry: Oil & Gas / Offshore Engineering Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Lead to oversee the architectural engineering of offshore structures, including living quarters, helidecks, topsides, LERs, and more. This role involves managing detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with project standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead architectural engineering activities for offshore structures from design to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Review technical documents and ensure alignment with project scope and contracts.
  • Monitor design progress and manage change control to meet project milestones.
  • Apply lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Support audits and post-review activities related to architectural design.
Technical Expertise Required:
  • Electrical Systems: LV/MV equipment, motors, transformers, switchgears, UPS, lighting, etc.
  • Instrumentation & Control: DCS, ESD, PLCs, transmitters, analyzers, etc.
  • Fire & Gas, PAGA, and Telecom Systems
  • Cybersecurity & Network Equipment: Servers, switches, workstations
  • Familiarity with Industrial Control Systems and software
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in large-scale construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role
  • Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and offshore facility design
  • Experience with EPC contractors, vendors, and service companies
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and change management
  • SME-level expertise in at least one engineering discipline
