Description:   As an Automation Comm Specialist III, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing automation and electrical systems associated with upstream onshore oil and gas production operations. Leveraging your seasoned expertise, you’ll provide technical support, troubleshoot network infrastructure, and contribute to process improvement. Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair: Assume responsibility for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of automation and electrical equipment related to upstream onshore oil and gas production.
On-Site Automation Support: Provide on-site automation support for upstream onshore oil and gas production operations.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical resource for facility control systems and field instrumentation, including level, pressure, flow, vibration, and other instruments.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure maintenance activities adhere to relevant industry and corporate Process Control standards. Follow best practices for PLC programming, standards, and management of change (MOC) procedures.
Strategic Improvement: Identify problem areas within instrumentation and control systems, offering alternative solutions to enhance automation network design and philosophies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams during design reviews and process hazard analysis.

Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Oil Field experience.

Technical Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of well Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) designs, programming, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with analog and discrete instrumentation, as well as various serial and Ethernet communication protocols.
Basic understanding of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
Proficiency in maintaining PLC programs using function block, ladder logic, and structured text.
Experience with local HMI operator interfaces.
