NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client, Woodside, who are seeking an Operations Readiness Engineer for the Browse Project Team on an initial 15 month contract.
About the Business Unit:
Browse is an offshore gas development project located in the northern region of Western Australia. The Browse Business Unit is situated in Perth and reports to the Executive Vice President of Technical & Energy Developments. The Browse Upstream Project includes subsea production wells and gathering systems, a greenhouse gas injection system, two gas and condensate FPSOs, and a gas export pipeline that connects the Browse resource to the NWS assets. The BU is progressing the project to FEED ready status.
About the Role:
The Operations Readiness team for Browse Upstream ensures integrated asset readiness throughout the lifecycle. Collaborating with Corporate, Business, and Engineering teams, they focus on efficient operations. This diverse role requires knowledge of upstream systems, operations and maintenance skills, and data/system integration. Responsibilities include delivering FEED entry strategies for Subsea and FPSO and providing detailed input to FEED ITTs.
The position will also require knowledge of Contracting and Procurement practices. The role will report directly to the Browse Operations Readiness Manager and be part of an operations readiness team developing the Browse project to achieve an efficient operational outcome.
Skills & Experience
- The candidate should be a degree qualified engineer with a minimum 10 years multi-discipline experience.
- Previous experience in Management of Maintenance, Operations and Subsea Engineering is required.
- The candidate should also be proficient in Digital, Data and IT terminologies and processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, including an ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong governance, ethics, and a sense of self-awareness will be critical attributes of the successful candidate.
