Chemist

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Chemist to join a leading agricultural company. This role is based at our client's site in Huddersfield on a 6 month contract.

The Role
As a Chemist, you will design, develop and optimise novel synthetic routes for active ingredients and key intermediates in early-phase process development
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory investigations exploring reaction mechanisms, conditions, and alternative pathways for chemical synthesis
• evaluate and optimise reaction parameters to establish robust and scalable synthetic processes 
• Plan and execute syntheses to develop efficient routes for target molecules,

Qualifications:

• Master/PhD in chemistry or equivalent industrial experience in chemistry
• Demonstrated track record in developing novel synthetic routes
• Excellent practical skills in experimental and analytical techniques
• Strong foundation in chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and modern synthetic methodologies
• Understanding of process chemistry and scale-up
