Description:
- Perform field inspections using portable CMM metrology equipment (laser trackers and articulated arms) with 3D CAD inspection software to obtain dimensional and alignment data.
- Generate & complete CMM inspection reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Undertake planning and implementation of CMM inspection requirements to facilitate the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial mechanical equipment.
- Travelling throughout Western Canada, working extended hours, staying in hotels, camps etc.
- Experience using a stationary or portable Coordinate Measuring Machine
- 3D CAD software knowledge, Mastercam preferred.
- Blueprint reading skills and good understanding of GD&T
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Familiar with mechanical equipment used in the mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industry.
- Experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Mechanical Draftsman is an asset.
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract.
- Be able to travel out of town and work overtime hours (aprox. 80% of the time)
- Be able to pass industry standard drug and alcohol test.
- Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSTS-09 or 2020 tickets.
