Aker Solutions is looking for a Commissioning Engineer specialized in Mechanical/Process with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Trondheim and will be led from there.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee commissioning activities, including mechanical and process systems.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning boundary documentation for efficient schedules.
  • Write and ensure adherence to commissioning procedures for dedicated systems.
  • Prepare commissioning scopes in Procosys and participate in FAT.
  • Ensure quality of work and compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in handover to Operations and maintain collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Prepare for N2He testing and manage commissioning start-up.
  • Plan and execute final handover to the customer.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks as needed.
 
Skills and Levels Description:
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Norwegian, or another Scandinavian language.
  • Technical degree or bachelor’s degree; lack of formal education can be compensated with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer, with at least 8 years of relevant experience within the oil & gas industry.
  • Offshore certification is required, as this role primarily involves onshore work with sporadic offshore trips.
  • Extensive experience in construction and mechanical completion activities, including a comprehensive understanding of Equinor’s governing documentation.
  • High level of process and system knowledge, with the ability to work effectively in teams and understand the needs of other disciplines.
