Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
Aker Solutions is looking for a MC Engineer specialized in Process with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Verdal and will be led from there.
 
This position operates on a 14/21 day rotation schedule.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed commissioning test procedures for process discipline and collaborate on procedures for other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development of governing documents and work instructions.
  • Define temporary systems, test equipment, tools, and evaluate spare parts.
  • Provide input for planning, budgeting, and engineering design reviews.
  • Participate in Vendor FATs, prepare commissioning scopes, and work packages.
  • Execute loop tests, system punch-out, MC handover, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage PCS, provide progress reports, and handle Change Control.
  • Oversee system take-over activities, start-up, and performance test activities.
  • Administer and supervise commissioning assistance and vendor personnel.
 
Skills and Levels Description:
  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent. Significant related work experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Fluent in English, with Norwegian fluency considered an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical commissioning processes and expertise in process.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC processes within New Build/Renewables Segments.
  • Proficiency in MIPS, Microsoft Office, Pims, ProCoSys, and Autodesk Simulate.
  • Efficient, proactive, and adaptable team player.
