We are seeking a proactive Contracts Administrator to join a leading mining operator for a 6‑month contract based in Brisbane. This role is dedicated primarily to post‑award contract management, ensuring the smooth execution, compliance, and performance of key supplier and contractor agreements that are critical to ongoing mining operations.
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing contractual obligations, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting project and operational teams to deliver on commercial and operational objectives.

You’ll play a pivotal role in managing contractual obligations, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting project and operational teams to deliver on commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee post‑award contract administration, ensuring all deliverables, milestones, and KPIs are tracked and met
- Manage variations, claims, extensions, and contract close‑out activities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and commercial requirements
- Prepare and review documentation including contract correspondence, reporting, and risk assessments
- Support the commercial and operations teams with cost tracking, reporting, and issue resolution
- Ensure governance, probity, and adherence to company policies and statutory requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator (mining, resources, or heavy industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of post‑award contract management processes
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Proficiency in contract management systems and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stake environment
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce, or related discipline (desirable)
