Currently recruiting for a Contract Manager to work on Contracts & Claims for the Cables package on behalf of a large, offshore wind farm developer in Poland. Reporting into the Procurement & Contract Management Lead, your role will be to lead and manage post-contract management activities for the Cables packages.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead any procurement requirements for the package including bid assessments, conducting the commercial assessment and supplier appraisal
  • Lead and manage post contract management activities for the Cable packages
  • Ensure timely and close co-operation and communication with the package manager
  • Responsible for following project procurement and contract management procedures and good practice
  • Contract manage the package contracts including payment obligations, monitoring supplier and employer contract obligations
  • Manage claims and variations with support from legal and package management
  • Co-ordinate with finance team and insurance to ensure communication and compliance

Major Tasks
 
  • Manage contract management and procurement related interfaces and activities
  • Continuous cooperation with other work streams, packages and other departments
  • Monitor contract time schedules and delivery
  • Conduct relevant supplier negotiations in procurement, contract management and claims resolution
  • Pro-actively anticipate and avoid unexpected claims in Package's Contracts
  • Assess consequences of technical decisions by package team and define actions along development and execution of the package works
  • Managing claims and variations together with package managers, legal etc.
  • Consider all commercial aspect during contract negotiations
  • Negotiate most economically advantageous deals with suppliers
  • Assess and monitor suppliers performance and financial standing
  • Execution of the contract and procurement processes
  • Conducting commercial evaluation of bids during procurement process
  • Create and Maintain contract tracker to track contract obligations, payments
  • Manage payment applications with package manager
  • Track commodity and indexation prices for the package
  • Report progress and status of contracts to Procurement and Contract Management Lead
