The client are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the project on a contract basis to work Monday to Friday on site full time 5 days per week. In return candidates will be offered strong day rates of pay and the chance to work on a flagship client project progressing the UKs journey to a cleaner energy industry.
Job Purpose:
The Contracts Manager (CM) will be responsible for the administration of the EPCM Contract and all works package contractor and supplier contracts. The CM will provide the project team guidance on contractual matters, monitor Contractual payment, variations and Contractor’s claims during the execution of the EPCM Contract and all Works Package Contracts. Job Purpose:
The Contracts Manager (CM) will be responsible for the administration of the EPCM Contract and all works package contractor and supplier contracts. The CM will provide the project team guidance on contractual matters, monitor Contractual payment, variations and Contractor’s claims during the execution of the EPCM Contract and all Works Package Contracts. The CM will:
- Ensure efficient administration of the EPCM Contract and related Contract issues
- Monitor compliance of contractual obligations.
- Review Contractor’s entitlement to payments and ensure such payments are made on time
- Report Contract and commercial status of the EPC Contract.
- Ensure EPC and related insurances are provided.
- Report Contract and commercial status of the Works Package Contracts.
- Ensure related insurances are provided to site management.
- Support compliance with the EPCM and related work package contracts
- Provide guidance and direction in respect of the provisions and extent of the EPCM and Works Package Contracts
- Minimise exposure to variations and claims
- Review and advise the EPCM Contractor’s application for Payment Milestones, Statements of the Contractor.
- Review and support the work package contractor’s application for Payment Milestones, Statements of the Contractor.
- Review variation proposals, variation orders and ensure status of Contractual commitments is maintained
Qualifications & Experience:
The CM will have at least 15 years relevant experience in management of large capital work Contracts in oil & gas, petrochemical or energy developments. Additionally, the CM will have:
- Thorough working knowledge of and experience in Contract management principles and practices
- Analytical and negotiation skills and team working through behaviour & influence.
- Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills with high energy and commitment.
- A “can do” attitude and ability to perform in difficult situations
- Strong teamwork skills.
