Corporate Affairs Manager
Reporting to the People & Sustainability Vice President, the Corporate Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s Corporate Affairs department. The Corporate Affairs Manager will shape and execute the company’s external and internal communications, stakeholder engagement, government relations, and brand reputation. This is a stand-alone, hands-on role within a lean team structure. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of both strategic planning and operational delivery across all areas of the role and multiple jurisdictions. This includes writing, content production, relationship management, project management and implementation of communication and engagement initiatives. The role will be primarily based in our Perth office, with occasional Local or International travel. Given the multinational nature of our business, the role may be required to hold meetings outside of regular business hours with colleagues in different time zones from time to time.

Responsibilities will include
:
External Affairs & Public Relations
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that enhance the company’s public profile and reputation in line with its business objectives and values.
  • Lead and develop media relations activities, including press releases, media responses, interviews, and crisis communications.
  • Prepare high-impact content such as speeches, executive presentations, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Support in the creation and distribution of external-facing materials, including press releases, annual reports and sustainability updates, among others.
  • Coach senior leaders in the delivery of communication content.
Government & Stakeholder Relations
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, and local communities.
  • Monitor policy and regulatory developments relevant to the business and advise leadership on implications.
  • Coordinate submissions, briefings, and advocacy reports with external stakeholders.
Internal Communications
  • Develop and maintain the internal communications strategy to ensure consistent, engaging, and aligned messaging across the business. Internal Vacancy
  • Draft and manage internal announcements, town hall materials, leadership messages, and intranet content, among others.
  • Support cultural initiatives and organizational change communications in partnership with HR and leadership.
Brand Development
  • Develop and strengthen the corporate brand and aspirational narrative, ensuring it reflects the company’s identity, strategy and values.
  • Translate the brand narrative into clear, consistent messaging across internal and external platforms.
  • Create and oversee development of brand assets, including visual identity, tone of voice, and message frameworks.
  • Manage alignment of messaging across departments, vendors, and leadership communications.
General
  • Develop the Corporate Affairs department policies and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate reputational and corporate affairs related risks.
  • Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget and ensure cost compliance.
  • Actively promote and uphold the company’s values, model and reinforce the company’s declared culture.
Experience and Qualifications required
  • +7 years in Corporate Affairs or related roles
  • Bachelor degree in related areas, or applicable tertiary qualifications in related fields
  • Experience in development and delivery of internal communications plans
  • Experience designing and leading external stakeholder engagement programs
  • Experience developing or overseeing creative design work
  • Experience creating or refreshing a brand, its narrative and positioning (preferable)
  • Experience in crisis management (preferable)
