Key Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Cost Engineer to support comprehensive change and cost management processes within a dynamic project environment. This role involves tracking scope variations, forecasting capital package costs, and performing variance analyses using in-house systems.
Some of your duties will include:
- Facilitate the change management process using internal tools, capturing trends, scope changes, and budget impacts across all project packages
- Identify deviations from the approved scope and services; provide well-reasoned recommendations
- Lead and maintain monthly Capital Package Cost scorecard forecasts, ensuring changes and variances are clearly documented
- Conduct cost and revenue variance analysis; communicate underlying causes and propose corrective actions
- Prepare monthly reporting inputs, including package forecasts, VOWD, and cash flow projections
- Develop and deliver precise, professional presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in project controls, cost analysis, and change management within complex project environments as a Cost Engineer
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of MS Access is a plus
- Familiarity with cost systems such as Deltek Cobra or equivalent platform
