Our client Woodside, a global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth CBD are currently seeking a Costing Process Owner to join them for a 12-month contract.
Woodside are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Process Owner to manage our costing processes within our global oil and gas company. In this role, you will play a critical function in ensuring that we maintain accurate and efficient costing processes across our vast operations, enabling us to make informed business decisions that drive performance and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The role in Finance is to partner and:
  • Enable the business to achieve strategic goals while ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place
  • Provide data-based insights and analytical guidance to drive improvement
  • Ensure our shareholders’ capital is allocated in a way that generates optimal value.
  • Responsible for the governance of the harmonised Woodside Costing Guideline and Cost Allocation Processes.
  • Oversee the execution of Costing processes, including residual clearing and master data creation.
  • Partake in audits to uphold the Cost Allocation Process.
  • Partner with SAP S/4 HANA Keystone Project to continue bringing the improvements to costing related processes in S4.
  • Engage with all Finance teams and Senior Finance leaders to develop and implement costing strategies and master data management policies that align with company objectives.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a costing role in the oil and gas industry, with experience working with SAP software.
  • Demonstrate experience implementing and managing costing policies and procedures across a multi-country organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience working with large and complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using other financial reporting and analysis tools.
  • Exposure to Joint Venture processes including non-operator audits
