NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnered with a global leader within materials technology and recycling group whom are currently embarking on a series of new projects across Europe & The Americas. Due to a significant increase in investment, they're looking to make the appointment of a "Electrical Engineer" with a long-term collaboration.

Purpose

Integrating the global or regional engineering teams, the principal or fellow project engineer is responsible to support project teams with its thorough expertise and to liaise with project management, EPCm companies, equipment manufacturers and contractors to successfully implement innovative solutions, new & efficient practices and to share its knowledge with others. Making use of the extensive experience and expertise, can be selected for specific assignments that do not require a project team (eg, implementation of innovative solutions on existing equipment).

Strategic focus
By supporting the plan, design and construction of manufacturing facilities and related structures, determining facility specifications, material resources, structural design and construction set ups, the project engineer contributes actively to the manufacturing expansion projects that will deploy the capacity for RBM business unit growth and ultimately, for the growth of the company as foreseen in our Vision 2030 plan.

Key aspect is that he/she understands and knows HV/MV systems and LV distribution, everything else will be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, guiding them through complex electrical engineering challenges and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  2. Design Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize electrical system designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, leveraging your expertise to identify innovative solutions and best practices.
  3. Project Strategy: Collaborate with senior management and project stakeholders to develop strategic plans for Capex projects, aligning electrical engineering strategies with overall project objectives and business goals.
  4. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to electrical engineering aspects of Capex projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
  5. Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding electrical engineering matters, fostering positive relationships, addressing concerns, and providing regular project updates and technical insights.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical engineering team, implementing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance project efficiency, quality, and innovation.
  7. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budgetary resources, to support successful project execution.
  8. Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical engineering technology, trends, and regulations, and leverage this knowledge to enhance the capabilities and competitiveness of our Capex projects. Key expertise is in HV/MV systems and networks and LV distribution.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  3. years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and success in managing Capex projects.
  4. Proficiency in advanced electrical design software and simulation tools.
  5. Extensive knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical engineering.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions and driving business results.
  8. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
