General duties include but not limited to the following:
 
  • Be a leader in Safety by ensuring all work performed in your area is done in the safest manner possible.  Hazards are identified through proper use of the JSA process, work is stopped if unsafe conditions are found, safety issues are dealt with in an appropriate time
  • Analyzing and obtaining a clear understanding and agreement of job scope with the Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) and Technical organizations
  • Coordinates closely with Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) to understand priority, requirements, constrains, and completion dates
  • Manage and store job library plans (including resources, equipment, material, and logic relationships
  • Identifies other work that can be performed at the same time
  • Develops detailed maintenance work plans (including safety factors, resources, materials, equipment and support crafts).
  • Generates a materials and rental equipment list to order through the Materials Coordinator
  • Provides direction to the Materials Coordinator (Req Techs) to obtain quotes from vendors, evaluate bids, and to write service requisitions.
  • Conduct weekly planning and review meeting with the OMC and Maintenance Coordinator to modify or improve existing job plans
  • Manage with the OMC on a weekly basis the backlog listing of active and inactive work orders
  • Interfaces with the Maintenance Coordinator or Team Leader on work execution issues due to planning.
  • Solicits feedback from crafts on accuracy of plans
  • Review and validates work plans.
  • Maintain the Planners backlog within the ME target
  • Maintaining an understanding of standards and codes that pertain to their specific disciplines (ANSI, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Exhibits leadership in safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and expense management within work plans.
  • Audits work requests for identification of MOC items.
  • Prepares and participates in monthly maintenance execution review meeting.
  • Assists with identification of chronic reoccurring failures.
  • Works closely with Field Team Leader and OMC in participating with applicable ME activities and meetings.
  • Actively promotes maintenance processes within the workgroup.
  • Learns, shares, and applies best maintenance practices in SMR.
  • Trains others to backfill their position.
  • As needed will be project lead on Maintenance projects, running crews on these jobs.
Requirements: 
  • 6 + years in refinery maintenance or turnaround experience
  • Previous planning/estimating experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of refinery work processes RCM, EI, IPF and ME
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in the use of SAP and Primavera P6 (CMMS)
  • Experience in planning and estimating maintenance work activities
  • Ability to plan jobs in a cost effective manner
