NES Fircroft have partnered with a local power company who are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to support an operation and upkeep of generation systems in a remote energy facility in regional South Australia. This hands-on role offers flexibility to work residentially or FIFO from Adelaide on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster. Working with minimal supervision, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of on-site electrical systems, overseeing contractors, and ensuring safe work practices.

Key Duties:
  • Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and plant
  • Monitor site performance and respond to technical faults
  • Oversee safe work procedures and site compliance
  • Manage tools, materials, and basic inventory
  • Ensure site documentation is up to date
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Current SA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical Fitter minimum)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Competent in fault diagnosis and reading technical drawings
  • Knowledge of diesel-powered generation, HV systems, PLCs, and site control systems
  • Solid understanding of safety and environmental practices
  • Prior experience in remote or industrial power environments preferred
  • Additional qualifications in HV switching, instrumentation or forklift operation highly regarded
