This role would suit a dynamic individual with a process engineering background, who has led improvement projects involving capital investment. Ideally the candidate would be looking at a step into a position with more responsibility, having demonstrated successful growth previously. This individual will join the Operations Group based in London, to champion best practices un support of a growing manufacturing business, whilst driving improvement and managing strategic capital investment projects. 

In addition, the successful candidate  will have strong coaching, communication, and organizing skills to expand an industry leading operations team. They will drive the design and implementation of steadfast production systems to meet current and future business needs. This leader will possess a passion for continuous improvement and the skills to guide medium to long term planning, with an emphasis on embracing new technologies.

Position Responsibilities
  • Champions and promotes a strong safety culture
  • Drives increased productivity and cost efficiency through new or revised production systems and working methods
  • Leads continuous improvement across the site and analyzes internal operations to identify areas of process enhancement
  • Steers capital deployment through project prioritization, specifications, justification, implementation and follow through
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline manufacturing processes and the use of resources
  • Deploys automation solutions, supervisory systems, data collection, and controls, as needed
  • Develops actionable engineering plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term business objectives, including throughput, efficiency and key projects
  • Improves manufacturing output, the quality of the spend, and information sharing
  • Specifies optimized manufacturing equipment and plant layout to minimize waste and process variation
  • Leverages best practices and benchmarks, partnering with operations leaders to develop and maintain corporate standards
  • Coordinates functional objectives and plans for building and equipment maintenance, production tooling, and process engineers
  • Collaborates cross functionally and globally to meet manufacturing engineering goals while providing expertise and guidance on critical operations matters
  • Manages a multi-year production technology plan, working closely with solution development, quality, and regulatory leaders
  • Facilitates, communicates, implements and monitors the adherence to operations-related policies, best practices, and standards
  • Coordinates budgets and procedures to support target setting and achievement
  • Monitors operational performance and drive corrective measures, as needed
  • Promotes employee engagement and improves employee productivity while embracing a highly inclusive culture; Fosters team members participation
  • Other related duties may be assigned
Experience and Education 
  • Experience leveraging a culture of safety
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Maintenance and/or Process Engineering - 05 years (min.) in management roles
  • Demonstrated success leading capital projects
  • Prior experience in the following industries (preferred): food & beverage, consumer products, and/or pharmaceutical products
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (preferred)
  • Engineering degree (preferred)
  • Individuals located in the greater Thames Valley area preferred
  • Conducts business in English
