The Engineering Project Management department is a team of experienced professionals who manage the technical scope of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, internal and external codes, standards, and regulations within budget and schedule.

Role Description

As the Topsides Engineering Project Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) and support the EPM in executing the FPSO topsides related engineering scope within schedule and budget. You will work closely with stakeholders such as discipline lead engineers, PMT, Client, Technical Authorities, Operations, and classification society.

Typical Tasks

  • Responsible for proper execution of the scope of work assigned, based on agreed methods, procedures, and time frame to obtain satisfactory results.

  • Coordination of preparation of technical documents as per the agreed scope of work.

  • Coordination of technical interfacing between the work in applicable disciplines.

  • Coordination of interfacing with purchasing, construction, and commissioning activities if applicable.

  • Coordination of technical review by the project and third parties, such as Class, and processing of comments.

  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the master document list.

  • Organization of document review and control and planning of document issuance.

  • Supervision, coaching, and interfacing with Lead Engineers.

  • Support on daily tasks, MDR developments, and loading to NEO.

  • Schedule development for the next phase and EPCI.

  • Chasing manhour estimates to feed EPCI.

  • Engineering execution plan.

  • SOW drafting for different Phases and EPCI.

Role Requirements

The position is based in Rotterdam and seeks candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • BSc. or MSc. in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical or Mechanical engineering, or other relevant disciplines).

  • At least 10 years of Engineering experience, including international experience in multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Team Management experience.

  • Experience with FPSO design.

  • Willingness to travel (the position is based in Rotterdam, but international business trips may be required).

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
