NES Fircroft are delighted to be recruiting for an ‘Environmental Assurance Advisor’ on behalf of a market leading operator for their major LNG project in Mozambique.

This position’s focus is on planning, developing and implementing systems and tools for environmental performance and compliance data gathering, analysis and reporting, to meet internal (corporate) and external requirements (government, lenders and other stakeholders) in line with applicable timelines.

Activities:
  • Subject Matter Expert for software and reporting systems used for environmental reporting and modeling (e.g. GHG, waste, ground and surface water, biodiversity).
  • Collect, review, trend and submit environmental performance and compliance reporting information and data, to ensure internal (Group) and external (Lenders and Government) reporting requirements are met.
  • Technical coordination of preparation for submittal of corporate environmental performance and compliance data inputs and analysis.
  • Lead the internal periodic environmental emissions reporting and analysis processes.
  • Initiate and support Management of Change (MOC) for data compliance with corporate, lenders and regulatory environmental requirements as necessary.
  • Coordinate, implement and optimize environmental compliance data.
  • Identify, document and support environmental performance and compliance needs.
  • Maintain environmental records in accordance with the company reporting needs and expectations.
  • Track and report Project compliance with Company reporting requirements.
  • Identify the relevant set of data for the GHG emission reporting based on relevant guidelines/requirements.
  • Review corporate requirements in terms of compliance and performance data.
  • Perform regular audits on environmental performance and compliance data, to ensure completeness, relevance and accuracy.
  • Identify GHG emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with development and implementation of Project Environmental Management System aligned with Group expectations and requirements.
Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement data collection, analysis, storage and reporting procedures.
  • Ensures environmental reporting data is readily available and accurate when needed.
 
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management or any closely related discipline. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Environmental work practices and tools.
  • Working knowledge of Oil & Gas operations and processes.
  • Working knowledge on GHG emissions calculations and reporting.
  • Must be able to understand a Project/company Environmental strategy and related performance data.
  • Can determine and track applicability of environmental tasks and data as related to applicable standards/requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and make inferences from environmental data.
  • Experience in preparation and implementation of Environmental Management Systems.
  • Experience in environmental data management database programs
