NES Fircroft are currently supporting a Global EPC client who are looking for a Field Engineer / SMP Coordinator to join their Perth team on a 12-month contract.

Location: Commencing in the Perth CBD office, there will be the requirement to travel to Singapore to familiarise yourself with the topside prior to sail away. The Offshore phase is expected to commence around Oct/Nov 2025, expecting a 3/3 week rotation roster.

Position Purpose

- Produce safe, high quality costeffective, timely and environmentally appropriate construction engineering solutions
- Provide engineering supervision and technical assistance at manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites
- Interface with other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders to maximize constructability of deliverables
- Provide the interface between site and engineering centers for management of change purposes
- Prepare documentation for bid, assessment and award of site based subcontracts.
- Ensure that industry standards and Group rules with respect to allocated construction engineering scopes of work are adhered to

Main Accountabilitie

- Interface with relevant engineering disciplines during the course of engineering, fabrication and execution
- Review engineering deliverables to ensure constructability is defined.
- Manage standard and nonstandard construction engineering performed by Engineering Consultants / Suppliers to meet project, statutory and Group rules to project schedule
- Preparation of execution plans and input to project delivery plans
- Preparation of project estimates as required to support projects.
- Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to fabrication/construction.
- As required by projects, manage procurement of either permanent or temporary material / equipment associated with construction engineering
- Manage and monitor Implementation Contractor fabrication schedule ensuring delivery to site
- Manage and monitor Implementation Contractor fabricated items ensuring delivery to site
- Preparation, input to constructability reviews identifying potential fabrication/construction issues
- Input to the procurement, subcontract, and fabrication plans
- Prepare Fabrication Cards for all fabrication scopes based on discipline design deliverables
- Provide fabrication cost and schedule estimates from subcontractors
- Preparation and review of implementation work packs – identify scope and issues
- Follow up on quality and delivery of fabricated items/packages
- Prepares progress reports to the project management, internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects
- Understanding of completions processes and site execution processes
- Identify, define site based changes to design deliverables, and support he MOC process as delegated by the Site Manager

Qualification

- Degree qualification, or relevant trade qualification

Knowledge/ Skill

- Strong offshore plant construction background
- Track record of Australian construction projects
- Experienced in greenfields execution projects within offshore plants
- Experience related to proactive control of project cost and schedule.
- Computer literate (P6 advantageous)
- Effective English oral and written communication

Experienc

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in relevant oil and gas engineering or chemical processing discipline in oil and gas industry
- Construction engineering preferred
