Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to lead complex service operations across multiple data center locations. This role involves extensive travel (4–6 weeks at a time) followed by a scheduled rotation home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power systems, relay testing, and troubleshooting, with the ability to mentor junior staff and act as a technical expert in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform complex field service operations and troubleshooting tasks.
- Apply engineering methods to modify and redline customer drawings and schematics.
- Conduct relay testing (electro-mechanical and solid-state), PLC programming (read/write), and testing of low and medium voltage circuit breakers.
- Perform CT testing, SF6 gas testing, and utility paralleling system analysis.
- Operate and interpret results from test equipment such as relay test sets, power factor testers, Hipot, Megger, phase rotation meters, and voltage/current meters.
- Supervise on-site activities and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior associates.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas.
- Work with and troubleshoot switchgear, transformers, and other power generation equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED with 5–12+ years of related experience,
OR Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience,
OR Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in field service roles involving power systems and electrical testing.
- Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods (4–6 weeks) with scheduled rotations home.
