NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading Oilfield Services company to recruit a Field Service Technician for a permanent role based in Middleton. This hands-on role involves working on customer sites across the UK and overseas, as well as supporting workshop operations when required. The role involves servicing mechanical systems, particularly pumps, rotating equipment, and vacuum and pressure systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver on-site installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance—often at short notice and for extended periods.
  • Support workshop activities as needed.
  • Prepare and approve service work packs.
  • Perform mechanical checks, FATs, loop checks, and pressure testing.
  • Produce detailed technical reports and provide aftersales support.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office.
Requirements
  • Completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, HNC).
  • CSCS card (held or obtainable).
  • Strong ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical system installation and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with wastewater and industrial systems.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice.
