Mechanical Fitter - Day Shift (Permanent)

About the role: Our client, a leading company in the health related manufacturing industry, is seeking skilled and dedicated Fitter and Turner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise will be highly valued.

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering
  • Pre-employment screening medical + d&a test
Duties:
  • Operate a variety of machine tools to fabricate, shape, or repair machinery components with high precision.
  • Assemble mechanical components and machinery, ensuring all parts are installed correctly and function as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and repair or replace faulty components to minimize production downtime.
  • Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and tolerances of components, ensuring all parts meet strict quality and engineering standards.
Skills and Experience:
  • Higher School Certificate / HSC.
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical and food manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Substantial experience in line setting, changeovers, fault finding, and repairs.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP guidelines and requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
