We are currently recruiting an FPSO Senior Process Engineer for a Global Oil & Gas Operator in the Perth CBD on an initial 18 month contract to join their operations support team.

Primary Objective:
- Provide process expertise to ensure safe operation, identify debottlenecking and optimisation opportunities. The candidate should
- Comprehensively understand the FPSO process systems, utility systems and various interactions
- Understand the operational interactions between the FPSO and interconnected facilities
- Ensure deviations from Performance Standards and the facility operating envelope are captured and managed within the MoC System.
- Understands commitments and responsibilities under International and Australian standards, Acts and Regulations, for instance Safety Case requirements
- Provide frontline process support to the FPSO for emergent facility issues
- Act as focal for management of risks associated with FPSO process and utility systems
- Strong understanding of operational management of change processes
- Conduct Process and Integrity surveillance to capture any emergent threats to Production / Reliability and facility integrity.
- Work with Maintenance / Implementation to ensure high priority work is accurately captured and prioritised.
- Input into the maintenance planning and shutdown planning processes for the FPSO
- Identify and pursue optimisation or improvement opportunities.
- Technical support to plant breakdowns and planned shutdowns.
- Assist with review of facility operating procedures.
- Participate in Risk Assessments / HAZOPs / LOPAs as required.
- Provide support to other stakeholders within the business as required (e.g. Operations Projects, , Shutdown, Greenhouse Gas Reduction etc)
- Interface with vendors and third party contractors for support with technical issues and study work
- Supervision and mentoring of less experienced FPSO process engineers
- Strong Process Safety knowledgeQualifications:
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree in chemical engineering, process engineering or similar
- Strong user of Aspen Hysys, (Steady State & Dynamics) as well as Osi Pi
- Knowledge of SCE’s, performance standards and Safety Case
- Able to independently organise and/or carry out hands on technical evaluations
- Occasional Offshore travel as required.
- Experience in operations support for oil & gas industry
- SAP PM, Meridium APM (desirable)
