Position Title: Contract Frontline Supervisor, E&I
Location: Lloydminster, SK
Business Unit: Downstream
Start Date: June 16, 2025
End Date: June 15, 2026

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Frontline Supervisor to support a major project in Lloydminster. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of project execution including pre-mobilization, contractor oversight, field supervision, and close-out activities.

Key Responsibilities Pre-Mobilization & Planning
  • Support pre-mobilization work and preparation of bid documentation

  • Assist with bid document assembly and contractor evaluations

  • Contribute to project execution planning (design/model reviews, CWP development)

Post-Award & Execution
  • Lead reviews and acceptance of contractor documentation (JSA, ERP, Execution Plans, ITPs)

  • Communicate site hazards and ensure alignment with Safe Work Agreements

  • Verify compliance to submitted documentation; identify and document variances, risks, and mitigations

  • Flag high-risk activities and ensure risk assessments are completed

  • Participate in walkdowns, deficiency resolution, and contractor demobilization

Safety & Quality
  • Apply strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices

  • Provide oversight on installation of HV switchgear, VFDs, DCS, and control systems (greenfield & brownfield)

  • Support and enforce adherence to corporate safety programs and specifications

  • Mentor team members and participate in field-level hazard and risk assessments

  • Engage in quality activities (ITP reviews, walkdowns, turnover verifications)

Schedule & Progress Management
  • Understand and track contractor/vendor schedules and their alignment with master project plans

  • Support schedule verification, progress tracking, and recovery planning if required

Cost & Reporting
  • Review and verify contractor/vendor LEMs (labor, equipment, materials – excluding rates)

  • Validate contractor reporting for accuracy in actuals, forecasts, and variances

  • Identify safety, cost, quality, or schedule risks and assist with mitigation planning

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve technical or logistical issues

Communication & Documentation
  • Provide daily progress, risk, and look-ahead reports

  • Maintain strong communication with contractors and internal team members

  • Keep accurate, detailed records and daily journals of field activity and key conversations

  • Actively participate in toolbox and coordination meetings

Qualifications
  • Red Seal Journeyperson – Electrician or Instrumentation, or

  • Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Technology

  • Experience as an E&I Field Coordinator or Supervisor on capital projects

  • PMP or formal project management training (an asset)

  • Strong foundational understanding of mechanical project execution
