Our client, an oil and gas operator, are currently hiring a Global Mobility Advisor to join the London office on a long-term contract basis
Purpose of role:
The Global Mobility Advisor is integral to the HR Total Reward team, focusing on the seamless operation and administration of global mobility programs. This role is essential for supporting the operational and strategic needs of an international workforce within the oil and gas industry.
Key responsibilities include:
• Facilitating the relocation process for employees moving internationally, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Administering international relocations and repatriation policies and packages, including compensation, housing, and tax support.
• Coordinating with external vendors and service providers involved in relocation and global mobility services.
• Ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and employment laws in home and host countries.
• Providing support and advice to employees on global mobility-related queries.
Areas of accountability, responsibility, competence:
• Global Mobility and Expat Programs: Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of global mobility programs, including pre-assignment, on-assignment, and repatriation processes.
• Policy and Package Administration: Administer global mobility policies and assignment packages, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, such as relocation agencies and tax consultants, to provide comprehensive support services to mobile employees.
• Compliance: Ensure all aspects of global mobility, including visas, work permits, and tax obligations, are managed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for globally mobile employees, offering guidance and support throughout their assignments.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of global assignments, including costs and employee details, to support reporting and analytics.
• Policy Development Support: Contribute to the development and review of global mobility policies to reflect changes in legislation, market trends, and business needs.
• Health and Safety Environment: Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and HSES procedures.
Critical Skills:
• Academic Qualifications: Degree and or experience in relevant field; further education or certifications in HR preferred.
• Relevant Experience: Experience in global mobility or international HR roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry or similar sectors with complex global operations. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
• Knowledge of Global Mobility: Understanding of global mobility processes, including immigration, taxation, and relocation logistics.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and handling sensitive situations.
