Global PMO – 6 to 12 Months Contract – Didsbury, Manchester

Hybrid – 3 days on site 2 days remote
Rate £75/hr – 36 hr week

Essential:-  Professional certification in Project or Program management (e.g. MSP, PMP, PRINCE 2) desirable. Knowledge of Project and Program management recognized best-practices and frameworks, such as MSP and PMBoK.  Understanding of end-to-end supply chain appreciated but not mandatory. Understanding of complex, global end to end supply chain.  Experience working on global change and transformation projects. Experience working with standard project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft Teams & Office Applications; Smartsheet; SharePoint and Lucidchart.   Global PMO to have an understanding of the political pressures on stakeholders and the business realities they face. Experience working in Hybrid Agile-Waterfall projects desirable.

Global PMO

To support the on-going delivery of the Program Management function as part of Polaris transformation program.  Work closely with the Program Manager, global program team and workstream project managers to support daily delivery of the projects / the program, driving best practices and utilising tools and techniques to enable successful implementation. Lead and support assurance, governance and standards across the workstreams, and ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are met.
Assist in developing and maintaining program plans. Coordinate activities across multiple projects within the program. Help align project schedules and milestones.  Work directly with my client’s internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery by driving coordination and collaboration. Reporting and Documentation (5% FTE). Prepare regular program status reports. Maintain program documentation and ensure it's up-to-date. Create and manage program dashboards. Risk and Issue Management (5% FTE ). Maintain risk and issue logs for the program. Assist in developing mitigation strategies. Track and follow up on risk mitigation actions.   Financial Tracking (5% FTE). Monitor program budget and expenditures. Prepare financial reports and forecasts.   Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.  Change Control (5% FTE). Manage the change control process for the program.  Global PMO to document and track change requests. Analyse impact of proposed changes.  Stakeholder Communication – 10%. Assist in preparing stakeholder communications and change management approaches. Maintain stakeholder engagement plans.  Coordinate program meetings and workshops. Quality Assurance – allocation covered across other activities above already listed. Monitor adherence to program management processes. Conduct quality reviews of program deliverables. Track and report on quality metrics. Resource Management – 5%. Assist in resource planning and allocation. Track resource utilization across the program. Identify resource conflicts and propose solutions.  Performance Tracking / value realisation – 5%. Monitor and report on program KPIs. Track benefits realization. Assist in program performance reviews. Tools and Templates 5%. Maintain program management tools and systems. Develop and update program templates. Provide training on tools and processes to team members.  Helping to maintain consistently

No direct reports. Matrix coordination of workstream leads, other team members including external suppliers & customers.
